As I understood it no, but this is really something that should really be clarified. @Ben maybe you can clarify?

thanks

Share days for the purpose of all types of voting have a maximum of seven days. Park rates are determined using the share day weighted median.

An output with 10,000 shares voting on the 107th day would have 1/100 of the share days as an output voting with 1,000,000 shares on the 8th day. They would each have 7 share days per share.

For a motion or a proposal to reach consensus two things need to occur during a 10,000 block rolling window:

  1. Greater than 50% of the blocks contain a vote for the motion or the proposal (5001/10000);

  2. Greater than 50% of the SDD during that same window.

The second provision is there to prevent the exceedingly unlikely, but still within the realm of possibility chance that variance plays in solving blocks. For instance, if a bunch of just-matured 10k NSR inputs were used to solve a large number of blocks in a row.

Thanks for clarifying. https://nubits.com/nushares/voting-mechanics could be improved because now it only mentions 7-day here -

After seven days, shares are fully matured (usable for minting). Holding
shares beyond this date has no impact on the difficulty of minting a
block.

I am not sure how to parse it. Do you mean ā€œGreater than 50% of the SDD during that same window is for the motionā€ ?

Thatā€™s how it sounds.
You need more than 50% of the blocks and more than 50% of the SDD for a motion or a proposal to pass (in any 10,000 block window).
