Thank you for linking to the first part of the article

Hereā€™s the second part, which is about other alternative algos (like Proof of Activity, Proof of Burn and Proof of Proof of Capacity) https://bytecoin.org/blog/proof-of-activity-proof-of-burn-proof-of-capacity/.

Hope you guys may find it useful as well!

Thank you for the link and for your elaborately reply!
How do you come to the conclusion that ChicagoSchooler and mercuenomia are the same person? From the style of their posts?

He admitted to it in a few separate posts. His writing style is quite distinctive too.

Definitely the same person. I had a conversation with him yesterday:

Letā€™s talk some more about NuBits

In a striking turn of events, some BitShares folk are pondering if itā€™s worth developing a partnership?

Both are awesome communities. Both projects are solid. If itā€™s a win-win, why not? We have to let differences aside and ignore members who attack eachother and focus on what is important.

Yep, I have seen that: https://bitshares.org/technology/price-stable-cryptocurrencies/

I was working on getting HolyTransaction to support NuBits, since they announced Tether support and they respondedā€¦

Well done!

First I was thinking your post here wouldnā€™t be very friendly, but after reading the thread to its end I think you just matched the tone very wellā€¦ :frowning:

I donā€™t think Iā€™m going back into that thread. Some of these people are just so hostile and rude. Just look at thisā€¦

How arrogant can you be?

It seems an actual discussion is taking place there! Honestly, Iā€™m both surprised and proud ahah please continue. Would be nice to have dev input on both parts.

Focus on issue, not (individual) people.

Seems like some are recognizing the success of NuBits though -
Look at the comment section, of that article for the lunch of Ethereum/BitShares "MKRCOIN UIA"

To me, MKR looks like a direct competition to BitAssets. I know the
general trend here is to support everything, but I donā€™t see both
thriving, it is a highly competitive area and it either wins or fades.NuBits has been very successful and that has partly contributed to BitAssets
declining. I know people who had converted to NuBits during the BitCoin
crash and they say they are happy with the decision. My point is that I
donā€™t see both MKR and BitAssets doing well side by side as everyone is hoping.I am waiting for my 30 MKR, so I will have a stake in it too. So all the best!

This link was about the funding of BCEx and I believe it contains info that is not correct.
http://cryptonewsday.com/nushares-votes-for-auction-to-fund-decentralized-cryptocurrency-exchange/

You are right. But at the time of writing this article it has been correct.
The article starts with describing the first attempt of the funding - which failed.
You still find a lot of references to it in the design paper

I want to edit the original post of this thread to alter the title and add some marketing resources to the list, but Iā€™m unable to. I can edit all of my posts up until the one on July 14th. Any posts past that donā€™t have the option to edit, including the original post. Is this some kind of option that can be changed using the Discourse software? In addition, Iā€™d also like to move the thread to the marketing board, since that is a more appropriate place for it.
