I just want to send out a little reminder since its december : clean up your votes.
If a motion already passed, or a custodian is already elected, you can remove the vote.

is there a problem in the network if we don’t remove them?
i am asking of pure curiosity
No, nothing horrible. Leaving the votes in your client just adds extraneous data to the blockchain that doesn’t need to be there.
Can’t the client detect that the motion/custodian has already been approved, and remove the vote automatically?
This has been discussed and planned for the future. It’s just a bit farther down the priority list.
