This is the finalize motion to make the Nu source code open to the public. For more information about this proposal, and to view discussions about what items some community members belived should be completed on the development roadmap before they will vote for this motion, see:
Presently @sigmike and @erasmospunk are conducting audits of the source code in an attempt to ensure the software does not permit any exploits when the source is opened. When they report that their audit is complete, the source will be opened.
We are also preparing a release with changes to the license and version number that will be available within the 45 day time window as mandated by the passed motion.
Good news on the fast movement towards releasing the code. I think that sends the right message to Potential future partners. @assistant motion vote 6f361693a7b248730b41d4292f89dc6f6f166bc8
The vote seems to be in a general down trend now. IIll write a script later to get the highest value from the blockchain.

Maximum Block Percentage = 72.27 in Block No. 241491
Maximum Shareday Percentage = 70.70171314 in Block No. 241491
I think we can call an end to voting as the current reading is definitely on the way down
(currently “block_percentage” : 68.38, “shareday_percentage” : 66.63632023)
It’s unclear at this point if it was a manual configuration error or an action with malicious intent. As I understand it, funds were requested to be withdrawn from CCEDK as a precautionary measure in the event the duplicate open-source voting was intentional.
As far as open-source goes though, we’re lucky that shareholders voted over 70% in favor of it even after the duplicates were removed. There’s no controversy that the majority of shareholders are in favor of it.
The passed motion mandates a new release with changes to the license and a version of 1.0. The security audit of the source code that was just completed led the team to make a number of minor code changes that won’t effect the user experience or protocol in normal situations. We are in the final stages of testing this release and expect to release it as a mandatory upgrade (no beta) in a matter of days. Once it is clear most nodes have upgraded, we will open the source code.
OK, I think you just missed to update the master. Again, thanks so much for publishing the code.
Whoever wants to compile it now, please switch to the correct branch first:
git fetch && git checkout 1.0.1-Stable-Release
EDIT: Not sure if anyone else but me will have this problem, but my version of libcurl4-openssl-dev did not work during linking and I had to switch to libcurl4-gnutls-dev. Linux Mint Qiana.
