[Inquiry] nushares blockchain and dividend payments

Is there a way for the protocol to be aware of dividend payments? If an entity initiates a payment of dividends, is a summery of the payment recorded somewhere on the block chain or is it purely a peercoin block chain matter?

If the protocol isn’t aware of dividend payments, is it possible to make it aware of it by somehow parsing the peercoin block chain? I have a couple of ideas that could prove useful to the nu network development but they require some sort of awareness of divedand payments.

It all happens on the Peercoin blockchain. Basically the Nu client instructions the Peercoin client to who and how much to send. I don’t think there’s any sort of reporting. Though you can export a list of addresses and share ownership on the dividend screen, but that’s about it.
