Seems like they launched a centralized hedging service for BTC:

I’m not saying that they are a direct competitor, but their service fulfils a similar need.

it looks similar to bitreserve.
i don t think they have a token transferrable over a block chain pegged to a FIAT currency.
it seems that there are so far 3 approaches possible to establish a pegged token over a blockchain.

• 100% fiat reserve backed like tether
• 100% asset backed like bitusd
• 0% reserve (whatsoever) backed like nubit
