I have noticed that despite the overall network liquidity being reasonably balanced, Poloniex has been persistently very unbalanced for more than a week. This is where most of our volume occurs, so we need to change something to improve this. There is evidence it is impairing NBT sales.
It seems like the best approach might be to have NuLagoon more actively shifting funds from tier 3 to tier 1 (technically passing through tier 2) to accomplish this, with exchanges between NuLagoonâs tier 3 and network tier 4 funds as needed. @henry is promoting to Poloniex tier 1 from tier 3 as needed a possible and practical solution you would be willing to implement?
To address the problem in the moment I am negotiating an NBT trade with a Poloniex liquidity provider. This moves funds from tier 4 to tier 2 which probably isnât ideal (funds should pass through tier 3).
I plan to take action to balance Poloniex when there is less than 25% on one wall as long as network wide liquidity is less than 50% on the same side.
