Assistant Bot

Hi woolly_sammoth

I’m afraid there was an error when dealing with your tip - move request.

Give @woolly_sammoth a poke to get it fixed

Poke @woolly_sammoth :alien:

I’m looking at it but my idea didn’t work.
It’s very frustrating. I can write some test code that moves NBT between wallet accounts, using the same code as the main bot, and that works fine.
As soon as I call it from the bot, it blows up. Still poking it though

we’ll try it raw, without any clever catches
@assistant tip 1 @Cybnate

Running in ‘test mode’

Tip of 1 NBT requested from @woolly_sammoth to @Cybnate.

#####This tip has not been made due to Test Mode

and once more without test mode
@assistant tip 1 @Cybnate

nope. try again

Out of luck today.You seem to have found some persistent challenge with this…

Motion RIPEMD160 hash: 02d2560ff7e063701374c6d93aa71d0ee75b0bbb

=##=##=##=##=##=## Motion hash starts with this line ##=##=##=##=##=##=

I have been working on the hashing functions of Assistant bot and have come up with a way of allowing text to be verified both by the bot and independantly.
Hopefully this works.

To hash a motion, send a PM to @assistant making sure the first two words are ‘motion hash’. Whatever else you put in the message will make up the body of the hash.

</p

=##=##=##=##=##=## Motion hash ends with this line ##=##=##=##=##=##=

Verify. Use everything up to and including the <motionhash></motionhash> tags.

Hi woolly_sammoth

I didn’t recognise your command

Send me a PM with the first word ‘help’ to see a list of available commands

Proposal RIPEMD160 hash: 455255fafbe316f7ddd46cdf3b0ea303007a8bfa

=##=##=##=##=##=## Custodian Hash starts with this line ##=##=##=##=##=##=

Custodial Address: BEsMKByje4thiJyVG5w92LgiJ1LC3Agc3A
Amount Requested: 2000000 NBT

There’s also a custodial hash function which works ina similar way. the first two words of the PM need to be ‘custodian hash’ followed by a valid NBT address and then a valid amount.
The bot will format the proposal in a standard way

=##=##=##=##=##=## Custodian Hash ends with this line ##=##=##=##=##=##=

Verify. Use everything up to and including the <custodianhash></custodianhash> tags.

finally there is a verify command which will scan the topic upwards from the requesting post and verify the hashes of any motion or custodial proposal it finds using the Assistant formatting (I’ve used hidden, custom html tags to denote the important parts of the posts so that the bot can find them. using html has also allowed me to get rid of the line ending issues that some have been having when verifying the hashes themselves.
@assistant verify

I thought that was going a bit too smoothly. Why did I pick a project which can only be tested it in such a public way?
@assistant verify

Hi woolly_sammoth

Here are the verification results of all the motion and custodian hashes I could find in this thread:

I found 0 Motions and 0 Custodial hashes.

ah

try again. (I think we’ll trash this thread once I’ve got this and the tipping working)
