rename NBT to US-NBT

Will be interesting to see how that works out on coinmarketcap.com. Do we end up with NBT and US-NBT in their listings? In that case we might have to speed up this transition.

Unfortunately the links don’t work yet (e.g. https://www.ccedk.com/bks-us-nbt) and the panel is a bit crowded, but that just looks like it’s not yet finished.

Yes. But I haven’t heard from them yet. I also contacted Coinmarketcap.

I’m having a problem replacing orders after I restarted the bots on CCEDK. @ronny, is this because the ticker names also changed in the API?

Just tried to update the local exchanges.py to US-NBT, but to no avail. I suspect this needs to be done on server side and requires a server reset. Might do this after the next payout. Any suggestions are welcome.

Yes, I’m already in the code, see edit above. I think it is only row 555 in exchanges.py (CCEDK section), but may require server reset before it is picked up.

Server and client at the same time? If it requires a renaming of nbt in trading.py and shit ill need to look at it in the next couple days. Might require some if loops for ccedk specifically.

Maybe I can just run a separate CCEDK dedicated instance. Will need to host Bittrex and Poloniex PyBots somewhere else then. Not work I was waiting for actually. Do we really need this change to US-NBT now?

If loops arent hard. If you need to give up, that’s fine. Ill take a look myself and report back in a couple days if you cant find a quick fix. Give it a chance, ccedk is doing good things for us.

Line 558-559 in your repo ( https://github.com/Cybnate/nu-pool/edit/master/python/exchanges.py ) are currently reading this:

                    if unit['pair_name'][:4] == 'nbt/':
                        self.pair_id[unit['pair_name'][4:]] = unit['pair_id']

change them to this:

                    if unit['pair_name'][:7] == 'us-nbt/':
                        self.pair_id[unit['pair_name'][7:]] = unit['pair_id']

Is that what you tried? Note the 7’s. This will probably require everyone to update their client.

Tried without changing both 7s. Thanks a lot for that. Have been wrestling this for hours.

Server is back up and running now, had some spontaneous issues with supervisor rights etc. possibly due to the backups but all solved. PyBots for Bittrex and Poloniex are up and running again.

However I’m still unable to start on a CCEDK trading pair. The message is:

ERROR: Unable to receive balance for NBT on CCEDK: exception caught: ‘nbt’

The odd thing is that apparently at least one person has figured out how to make it work as server.py is submitting an USD balance. I’ve changed exchanges.py both on the server and locally for the PyBot.

Any thoughts what else to change?

Have been successful trading on NBT/BTC pair after some changes in trading.py on the client side. However the Bittrex and Poloniex PyBots stopped. Need to separate out bot operation on different machines. Will need some more testing.

Edit: moved Bittrex and Poloniex bot to a different VM. Up and running, however seeing bad performance/efficiency on both Bittrex and Poloniex PyBots on one VM and BTC/US-NBT and USD/US-NBT PyBot on another VM…SOLVED. Will have it running for a while to see whether it stabilises. Still having issues with EUR/US-NBT Pybot, but might be another problem…SOLVED.

Just published the required changes to support US-NBT on CCEDK with PyBot in a new release on Github here: https://github.com/Cybnate/nu-pool/releases/tag/1.5LB

Instructions to update existing installation:

1. Unzip release
2. Copy trading.py and exchanges.py to the folder where your PyBot software resides. Choose overwrite when asked.
   On Linux, this is usually in your folder under nu-pool in the folder Python.
3. Restart Python, the easiest and surest way to do this is to restart your PC. This is required to remove the cache and load the new files.
